AST Foundation Skills Courses
AST Foundation Skills courses allow for participants to gain required skills and knowledge to support their continued learning and employment pathways. These courses are catered to individuals who wish to develop their skills in language, literacy, numeracy, self-management and employability. With hands on, practical delivery, our courses help build confidence in individuals and support them to make a valuable contribution to their communities.

This course is the entry level in supporting students develop their language, literacy and numeracy skills. Students will learn to identify their personal learning goals, read and write simple texts, learn about money, basic math skills and giving directions for everyday situations.

22472VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults
The 22472VIC Certificate I builds on the entry level content of the Course In and explores topics in more detail, such as engaging with and creating texts, using digital technology, working with and calculating measurements, understanding workplace safety and participating in a range of community-based creative activities.

This certificate is intended to support learners with permanent cognitive impairment or intellectual disability. It will develop the skills to find the most appropriate option for you in the community after leaving school. This may include employment, volunteer work or further study. Areas of study will include personal development, travel and recreation, planning for your future, learning about numbers, time and computers.

These certificates are intended to support post compulsory school age learners with permanent cognitive impairment, or intellectual disability, to develop the skills to explore work options and access pathways to further specific vocational education and training. It supports learners to improve their employability and work readiness. There is a work placement component to this training.

Location: Bendigo, VIC
Delivery Mode: Face to face
Duration: 50 Hours: 2 days per week over an 8.5 week period
This course will support young learners to develop working skills and general employability skills.
